Prelude: Dawn Taylor

Opening Song: Love Come Down,     on screen

Words of Scripture: Based on Psalm 46

Leader: We will wait before the Lord for our victory comes from Him.
People: Therefore, no matter what trouble we face, we will not fear.
Leader: Though the mountains may fall into the sea, and even if my foundation gives way,
People: I know you, the almighty God are with me.
Leader: Look what the Lord has done.  He fights our battles, and he stands victorious over all!
People: We will be still and know that you are God

Song: There is Power in the Blood,   pg. 191

Prayer of Confession: Father, sometimes it feels like we are coming unraveled.  We feel pulled apart from every angle, because we choose our way rather than yours.  We fix our eyes on this world when we should lift our eyes to you.  Forgive us God.  Help us learn to be a people who ask and who listen to You.  Teach us how to rest in your love, rather than be consumed by our burdens.  Show us how to rest in the knowledge that you are a good Father, who is full of mercy and grace.  In Jesus' name we pray.  Amen.

Assurance of Pardon: God does not remember our sins, but does remember His promises.  God does not shame us, but lifts us to new life.  He fills us with hope and through Christ He shows us His grace filled loved!
