Prelude: Dawn Taylor

Opening Song: Wonderful Peace,     pg. 500

Words of Scripture: Based on Psalm 96

Leader: Sing to the Lord a new song, earth and everyone in it, sing!  Sing to God - worship God!
People: For God is great and worth a thousand hallelujahs!
Leader: God made the heavens; splendor radiates from him, and a powerful beauty sets him apart.
People: We will worship the Lord in all of His Holy splendor!

Song: Are you Washed in the Blood,   pg. 190

Prayer of Confession: Loving God, you have opened our blinded eyes, healed our broken lives, and cleansed our sinful hearts.  Yet, despite your grace, we make choices that cool our faith.  We conform to the ways of the world.  We fill our lives with obstacles that keep us from you.  We pick up old sins and we hang on to destructive habits.  Forgive us Lord.  Help us to close the doors that lead to a burning faith both this day and every day, in Christ's name we pray,  Amen.

Assurance of Pardon: God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Through Christ, we are forgiven!

* Gloria Patria #623

* Passing the Peace of Christ
