Loving God, one another and others
One of the ways we live out our mission as a Church is by engaging in various ministries and by partnering with a number of trusted organizations that are faithfully serving Christ. Here are a few links to some of these organizations that we partner with as we share God’s love in the world.
Through One Child we support students in Honduras and India
The Scott County Clearing House meets a lot of needs for residents of Scott County. They do a regular food distribution and they are able to meet a variety of needs within the community with support from Churches, businesses, individuals and a great group of volunteers.
Operation Christmas Child gives us the opportunity to pack a shoe box that will be distributed to kids around the world at Christmas. This not only gives them a Christmas present, it also gives them a chance to hear about the greatest Christmas present of all, God’s gift of His Son Jesus.
In addition to Operation Christmas Child, we also support Samaritan’s Purse disaster relief efforts as those needs arise.
Heifer International is an organization that provides assistance to folks in both the United States and globally by helping them developing a self-sustaining agricultural program. Donations provide everything from animals to crops, and the organization provides training and resources to help the individuals provide for themselves.
We also support Lexington Elementary School through what we call the Great Shoe Caper, which provides shoes and an age appropriate Bible to the Kindergarten classes. We also work with the other Lexington area Churches to provide school supplies for all of the students who attend LES.
